With NHS Dentistry being featured in the news again today, we want to share an important update.

 

Since 2006, our practice has faced significant challenges, including having the lowest rate of pay for dental activities in Worcestershire and currently in England. This long-standing financial disparity has made it increasingly difficult to attract NHS dentists, affecting our ability to provide the care you deserve.

 

For over 14 years, we’ve proudly served as a foundation training practice, demonstrating our commitment to NHS services.

However, the landscape of NHS dentistry is becoming more challenging due to delayed funding uplifts, rising costs, and the fact that the recommended pay increase for April 2024 has still not been implemented.

 

We genuinely care about our patients and want to ensure everyone has access to quality dental care. Unfortunately, these financial pressures are making it harder for us to recruit new NHS dentists, which threatens the sustainability of our services.

Despite our unwavering dedication to training the next generation of dental professionals, we face significant challenges in serving you effectively. We believe it’s essential for policymakers to recognise the need for a more equitable funding model to sustain NHS dental services across all regions.
