It is possible for baby or adult teeth which have been knocked out to be saved by a dentist. The quicker the treatment, the more chance a tooth can be saved.
- The best chance to save a knocked-out tooth is by seeking treatment from a dentist within 30 minutes of the incident.
- Rinse off an adult tooth which has been knocked out before replacing and gently biting down to hold in place.
- Keep the tooth moist in milk (not water) if it cannot be placed back in the mouth prior to going to the dentist.
