Pregnancy brings many changes to the body, and unfortunately, some of those changes can affect your oral health. Here’s what you need to do to keep a healthy smile.
- Watch out for gum disease. Early symptoms include swollen or bleeding gums and sensitive teeth.
- Avoid brushing your teeth for one hour after a morning sickness episode. This will prevent enamel damage.
- Keep all your appointments with the dentist.
At the very least, you should schedule one dental check up while you’re pregnant.
