Are missing or loose teeth making it hard for you to eat? Have your dentures become loose and uncomfortable? Have you purposely avoided social situations because of your teeth? If the answer is yes, then we may have the solution you’ve been looking for.
We understand the impact tooth loss can have on a person’s life; the simplest tasks can suddenly become a problem. That’s why we would like to tell you a little more about dental implants; a treatment that could have a hugely positive impact on your life.
What are dental implants?
Dental implants offer a fantastic and durable alternative to traditional dentures for people who are living with tooth loss. This treatment can be used to provide a solution for both single and multiple missing teeth as it can be tailored specifically to meet your requirements. The underlying concept for dental implant treatments does however remain largely the same. We are able to fix small titanium cylinders into the jaw to provide a replacement root for a single artificial tooth, or multiple teeth if required. The ‘replacement teeth’ is then fitted to the implant. Both removable and fixed options are available and we will be able to advise you on the best option for you after we meet you at a consultation.
What are the benefits of dental implants?
When compared to traditional dentures, there are many reasons why dental implants are often a favoured solution. Some of the benefits include:
- Their high stability level allows you to eat your favourite foods again.
- There’s no need to worry about your teeth slipping whilst talking or eating.
- They look and function just like your normal teeth so you’ll be able to simply get on with life again.
- If desired, we are able to provide a fully fixed solution so you needn’t remove your teeth at night.
Am I suitable for dental implants?
Dental implants can offer a solution to most people living with loose or missing teeth. Before beginning any treatment we insist that the patient has a consultation. We will always time the time to listen to your requirements and expectations before recommending a treatment plan that will benefit you the most. You’ll also be able to ask any questions you may have so you can be 100% confident in the treatment you’re having before progressing.
